Since 1946, Cunningham Fiber has been dedicated to providing high-quality communications service to our customers throughout most of Mitchell, Cloud, Republic and Jewell counties in North Central Kansas. We are a local, independently-owned company — founded by Dean and Hazel Cunningham and still led by the Cunningham family today. With headquarters in Glen Elder and branch offices in Beloit, Belleville and Concordia, our friendly local employees will take care of the internet, telephone or TV needs of your home or business. Our History
Cunningham Telephone Company was founded by Dean and Hazel Cunningham in 1946. They ran the first calls from a circuit board in the basement of their home in Glen Elder to provide party line service to the Glen Elder exchange. The company soon expanded to other telephone exchanges and grew to offer telephone and high-speed internet service in these exchanges: Glen Elder, Cawker City, Jamestown, Simpson, Randall and Formoso. Cable TV service was added in 1997.
Today, Cunningham Fiber offers a variety of internet, telephone and TV in the 12 communities of Glen Elder, Cawker City, Downs, Beloit, Concordia, Belleville, Jamestown, Formoso, Randall, Jewell, Mankato and Scandia. The 3rd and 4th generations of the Cunningham family run their business from the Glen Elder headquarters and operate local offices in Beloit, Concordia and Belleville. Built from humble beginnings and supported by their approximately 30 employees, Cunningham Fiber continues to grow and thrive by implementing fiber optics and other advanced communications technology.
